Moodbidri: Belvai Parishioners Celebrate annual Feast of Patron St Martin De Porres

Moodbidri, 6 Nov 2013: The annual feast of St Martin De Porres parish, Belvai, near here celebrated with utmost reverence on Wednesday November 6.

 
Fr. Maxim Rosario, administrator of St Joseph Seminary, Mangalore concelebrated the festal Eucharistic Celebration along with 20 clergies of in and around the deanery.

 
Fr Maxim in his homily reflected on the scriptural readings and emphasized the importance and relevance of Christian charity that was practised by S. Martin De Porres.

 

 
The parish choir trained by Bro Jason Castelino presented melodious music on the occasion.

Belvai parish priest Fr William Barboza thanked all those who had contributed to the success of the feast.
 
A large number of faithful regardless of caste, creed and faith attended the festal celebrations on the occasion.
The annual parish feast was preceded by the confraternity Sunday on November 3 presided by Professor Fr Maxim D’Souza of St Joseph Seminary, Mangalore.

A procession accompanied with Blessed Sacrament was held till Mariam Niketan Convent.  Fr William Barboza conducted the liturgy of blessing of Holy Sacrament.
