Beltangady: Sustaining One’s Religion & Culture is Divine Service – Dr V Heggade

Beltangady, 25 Oct 2013: In spite of technological marvels in the modern world, one should sustain one’s religion and culture. The religiousness is increasing in the recent past, owing to which many worship centers and temples are refurbished. The religiousness lies in sustaining religion and culture, said Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
Dr Heggade was speaking during the celebrations of his forty-sixth enthronement as Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunateshwara, here on Thursday October 24.
Dr Heggade announced that Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Yakshagana troupe will present time bound Yakshagana plays during this touring season, announced Dr Heggade.
It’s common to be happy and unhappy, while serving humanity as a duty. One has to be consistent in duty with enhanced confidence, advised Dr Heggade.
A building complex shaped Q will be built in Dharmasthala, a new building block at Postgraduate Study Center in Ujire, two new hostels for boys, a new building block at SDM Ayurveda College, Hassan during this year, added Dr Heggade.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala is known for sanctity and divinity, while the innumerable devotees who arrive here go home blessed, said Dr Heggade.
The state forests and Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanat Rai said that Dr Heggade has no greed for publicity. He is known for his service to humanity and his multifaceted personality has earned him a distinct place in the nation, lauded minister Rai.
Dr Heggade also felicitated the senior employees serving in Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on the same occasion.
Hemavati V Heggade, Professor N Prabhakar, D Surendra Kumar, D Harshendra Kumar, Dr B Yasho Varma, Swami Mohandas of Maneela were present on the occasion.
