Mangalore: Civic Body Clears Banners, Buntings put up on Auspicious Occasion in City

Mangalore, 18 Oct 2013: The civic body embarked on clearing the banners, hoardings and buntings that were erected across the city, here on Thursday October 17.

The public display that was put up on the occasion of auspicious celebrations were cleared by civic body led by assistant revenue officer Praveen.

 

 

Meanwhile, a few people objected to clearing a large sized banner of goddess Sharada that was erected at Urwa Store junction, alleging that the civic body is unconcerned of banners conveying best wishes put up by a few politicians even after many months.  The skyscrapers that encroached upon the streets are untouched by civic body, but its just a day after the feast of goddess Sharada; the civic body eager to clear the huge banner, which gives rise to suspicions, they alleged.
