Mangalore: Konkani Prachar Sanchalan announces Results of Elocution Competition

Mangalore, 16 Oct 2013 : The city-based Konkani Prachar Sanchalan organized elocution competition on the topic, Konkani is my mother tongue; my role in sustaining it, for the students of Class VI to Class X.
Three-hundred-one students from different parishes across Mangalore diocese participated in the competition.
Konkani Prachar Sanchalan chairman Roy Castelino presented the prizes to the winners during the monthly theater held at Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, here recently.
Prituma Monteiro, student of Mount Carmel School, Mangalore bagged the first place and was presented with cash award of Rs 2,000, memento and books.
Jeanal Fabina D’Souza, student of Sacred Heart High School, Madantyar bagged the second place and was presented with cash award of Rs 1,500, memento and books.
Prajwal Fernandes, student of St Joseph’s School, Taccode bagged the third place and was presented with cash award of Rs 1,000, memento and books.
Vinita Priya D’Souza, student of Nityadar School, Nityadar Nagar, Tokkottu, Mangalore bagged the fourth place and was presented with cash award of Rs 750, memento and books.
Ashwini Menezes, student of St Philomena School, Kemman bagged the fifth place and was presented with cash award of Rs 500, memento and books.
