Final Countdown Begins for Bahrain Billawas Decennial Celebrations

Manama/Bahrain, 14 Oct 2013: Bahrain Billawas, an association of NRIs form Billawa community, will be celebrating their decennial celebrations at Al-Raza School auditorium, here on Wednesday October 16 at 4.00pm.
The Billawas hailing from undivided Dakshina Kannada district migrated to pearling nation, in order to carve out better future for themselves and their families back in India thought of uniting under one umbrella to respond to the grievances of entire community. A few enlightened community men who launched Bahrain Billawas in 2003 complete a decade, in the service of community both in State of Bahrain and back in India. Its not easy a task to establish an Association in overseas, for the sake of contributing for the prosperity of community. Meanwhile, it’s a challenge to sustain the Association for 10 years, adhering to its key objectives.
Bahrain Billawas has contributed their mite for the prosperity of entire community, succour to several families both in oil rich State of Bahrain and in India. It has extended medical assistance and financial support for studies. It has rebuilt the house of a poor family that was distressed over roof over their heads. It has done its honest attempt in addressing the grievances of distressed families from the community. Besides, it has been trying to bring each Billawa to bring to the mainstream of society in the State of Bahrain since the past 10 years.
Bahrain Billawas have made all the preparations to celebrate decennial in splendour and final countdown already begun.
The renowned writer and litterateur Janaki Brahmavar will be the chief guest of decennial celebrations.
The key sponsor of the programme – Udupi-based Mandavi Builders and Developers, managing director Gerald Vincent Dias and co-sponsors Mangalore-based Northern Sky Properties managing director Dhiraj Amin, Manipal-based Sri Matha Enterprises managing director Darpan Poojary will be special invitees of the occasion.
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy former president Umanath Kotian and sandalwood famed movie, ‘Encounter Daya Nayak,’ actor, director and producer Sachin Suvarna will be the guests of honour.
The office bearers of different Billawa associations in the GCC are likely to attend the programme.
Tudar, Tulu decennial bulletin brought out by Bahrain Billawas will be released on the same occasion.
The theatre enthusiasts are assured of good times, because the cultural troupes of Tulu and Kannada will stage variety cultural shows.
Rambarooti, Tulu comedy play that will be staged by ‘Kusaldarase’ famed Tulu artiste Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and group.
Tulunad Dayenginchand..? a dance recital that conveys the glory of Tulunadu directed by the renowned Tulu theatre artiste Paramanand Salian will also be staged on the occasion.
The cultural secretary and dance director Chandrakala Mohan trained talented dancers will present variety shows as part of the celebrations.
