Mangalore: Audio launch of Tulu movie ’Nirel’ on Oct 14

Mangalore, 13 Oct 2013: The audio release of the first international Tulu movie ‘Nirel’, which has been fully shot in different locations across United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be held during a function scheduled to be held at Lalbagh, opposite to Saibeen Complex here on Monday October 14 at 8.30 pm, said Shodhan Prasad, producer of the movie.
Addressing media persons here on Saturday October 12, Shodhan Prasad said the movie has been produced at a budget of around Rs 1.5 crore and is in the editing stage. The first international Tulu movie will be first released in UAE during end of November and at Mangalore, Mumbai and Bangalore during January 2014, said Shodhan Prasad.
The movie director Ranjit Bajpe, briefing about the uniqueness of the movie said, ‘The movie is based on a love story with a touch of comedy and action. The movie crew is a fresh team selected via audition. Our main intention was to give opportunities to Mangaloreans working abroad,’ said Ranjit.
The shooting commenced about one year ago, but it took only 30 days to shoot the entire movie as it was done only on Fridays, added Ranjit. The movie also has a touch of ‘Tulu Parba’ and the total duration of the movie is 2 hours 15 minutes.
The movie comprises 6 songs sung by renowned singers.

The movie features Anoop Sagar in the lead role, Varuna Shetty and Deepti as lead heroines. Sachin Padil, Deepak Paladka, Subhash, Anand Salian, Jameel Ahmed, Claude, Rajendra Pai, Santhosh Poojary, Shashi Shetty, Nithyanand, Sandhya Prasad, Veera, Vishwapathi Bhat, Dony, Nindiya, Ashok Paalan, Vidhya and others are the cast in the movie.
The movie is produced by Shodhan Prasad, with San Poojary as co-producer, Rajith Shetty as director, Rajneesh Amin as theater director, Sachin Padil as assistant director, Ashwath Samuel as editor, and Mani Kookal as DOP. The music has been composed by Abhishek S N and lyrics are by Loku Kudla, Rajneesh Amin and Sitaram Kulal. The stunts have been directed by Mufaaz, and publicity design is by Devi Rai.
The original story of ‘Nirel’ is based on the script of Bangalore-based software engineer Karthik Gowda.
The main attraction will be a guest appearance by south India’s famous Sandalwood star actor Ramesh Arvind.
Akshata Rao, Pramod Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Harish Sherigar and Shilpa Madhusudan have lent their voice to the songs.
