Mumbai, 10 Oct 2013: The funeral of 58 year-old Michael Leo Serrao, a native of Jaarigekatte, Mundkur who was working as a waiter in Hot Sip Bar, Gokuldham, Bhayandar (East) here owing to cardiac arrest on Sunday October 6, will be held in the leadership of metro’s renowned journalist Rons Bantwal at St Joseph’s parish Cemestry, Nr. Railway Station, Opp. Joggas Park, Mira Road (East) here on (Today) Thursday October 10 at 4.15pm, said the Bar owner Ravindra Shetty.
St Joseph’s Church Mira Road (East) Parish priest Fr Dominic Vas (OCD) will conduct the funeral service on the occasion.
The mortal remains of Michael were lying in morgue of Bhagavati Hospital, Borivali (West) since Sunday, waiting for his kith and kin to offer him a decent burial as per Catholic religious rites. Rons Bantwal Volunteers to give Decent Burial to Orphaned Michael said Ravindra.
Although Michael was a bachelor and had 5 brothers and one sister, none of them were willing to give him a decent burial, just because he was wayward and squandered his savings on booze and pleasures.
Michael is the example for all those who shun families and relatives, religion; what would be their fate after they breathe their last. The one who is only after worldly pleasures of life would be shunned even after passing away. They die like orphaned only to add woes to others and to spend sleepless nights, regretted Rons Bantwal.

This is not sympathy. I dont know what was wrong with Michael but departed soul should have some respect. NOT THIS ON HIS BURRIAL - "Michael is the example for all those who shun families and relatives, religion; what would be their fate after they breathe their last. The one who is only after worldly pleasures of life would be shunned even after passing away. They die like orphaned only to add woes to others and to spend sleepless nights, regretted Rons Bantwal".

Any word of praise is short for the humanitarian gesture shown by Rons Bantwal. His advise is noteworthy. May God bless Rons.

Very good job Rons. I know it is not an easy talk and risking yourself with Indian Law and order. May God bless you. Remember rewards will follow soon to you and your family for doing decent funeral ceremony to our Catholic Brother Michael. |
