Karkal: Talent has no Differences of Poor & Rich – Supreet Shetty

Karkal, 4 Oct 2013 : Everyone is blessed with inherent talent that is unraveled when they get an opportunity. It’s essential that the students should get platforms to unravel their inherent talents that has no differences of rich and poor, said ZP member Supreet Shetty.
Shetty was speaking after inaugurating ‘Kalashree camp’ taluk level talent competitions for the students of 9 years to 16 years age group, which was organized jointly by women and child welfare development department, taluk Bala Bhavana Committee and Jaycees Club International (JCI) – Belman, at St Joseph’s School auditorium, Belman, near here on Thursday October 3.
The taluk panchayat member Xavier D’Mello in his chief guest’s address said that the partnership of social welfare organizations is essential for the government programmes to become successful, said D’Mello. He also lauded the role of JCI – Belman led by Raghunat Nayak in partnering with government departments for greater success.
Belman – St Joseph’s education institutions correspondent Fr Lawrence D’Souza also spoke on the occasion.
JCI – Belman president Punaru Raghunat Shetty presided the programme.
Belman block education co-ordinator Jayanti Shetty, school head teacher Sr Monica was present at the dais.
Child welfare taluk acting project officer Sita Ratna delivered the introductory address. JCI member Yashodar proposed vote of thanks. The teacher B Pundalika Marate compered the programme.
Kutyar – Parashurameshwar temple chief trustee Shambudas Guruji presented the prizes during valedictory function heldon Thursday evening.
Sooda High School teacher Mallika, artist Ramesh Bantakal, Kalya High School teacher Pilar Sudhakar Shenoy was present at the dais.

Good handwriting – Diksha Shetty (first prize) from Kalya School, Sushma (second prize) from Kalya School.
Art display – Sreeshadas (first prize) from Vidhyavardak School, Mundkoor, Raksha K R (second prize) from Sooda School.
Science invention – Prateek Patkar (first prize) from Pervaje School, Shivaprasad (second prize) from St Joseph’s School, Belman.
