Karkal: Teachers Play Key Role in Reforming Society, Dr Bharatesh

Karkal, 27 Sep 2013: The teachers are greatly respected in the society. A doctor can improve the health of a patient, while the teacher has a scope to contribute for healthy society. The pro-social teachers indeed get due honors. Meanwhile, the teachers play key role in maintaining healthy society, said Rotary Club International (RCI) district 3180 governor Dr A Bharatesh Karkal.
Dr Bharatesh was speaking after felicitating the top teachers award recipients, during a function held at Belman gram panchayat mini Vidhan Soudha, here on Wednesday September 25. The felicitation programme was jointly organized by RCI – Belman, Rotaract Club, Rotary community unit of Bola – Piliyoor.
Dr Bharatesh felicitated Vardhaman Award recipient Dr B Janardhan Bhat Belman, district top teacher award recipient JCI member Rajendra Bhat Inna, Lions Club member V K Rao Nandalike, Karnataka state Post Graduate Physical Teachers Union president Sooda Ritesh Shetty on the occasion.
RCI - Nitte president Arvind Kumar was the chief guest of the occasion.
RCI zone 3 assistant governor Madhav Suvarna released Rotary’s special bulletin ‘Siri Sampada’ during the programme.
Dr Janardhan Bhat, K Rajendra Bhat, V K Rao and Ritesh Shetty acknowledged the honor and said that the honor indeed inspired them to further their humanitarian deeds.
Rotary community unit representative Sukesh Kumar, secretary Taranat B were present on the dais.
RCI president Suryakant Shetty presided the function and welcomed the gathering.
Sudhakar Rao, Rajesh Acharya Kodimar, Nagaraj Rao, Srikant Udupa and Sandeep V Poojary introduced the award recipients. Sunildev compered the programme. The secretary Vignesh Shenoy proposed vote of thanks.
The different games were held as part of family get-together and prizes were distributed to the winners.
