Mangalore: KG Children of Mount Carmel Central School, Mary Hill Celebrate Onam

Mangalore, 14 Sep 2013: The Kindergarten children of Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, here celebrated Onam at school campus on Friday September 13.

 

 

They brought flower petals of different colours and with the help of their teachers prepared a beautiful ‘Pulikalam’, a flower carpet. The children in typical Kerala dress arrived in procession, lighted the Diya with prayers followed by Pulikali, Valemkali.

 

All the students then relished the taste of banana chips, a Kerala speciality on this occasion.
