Dubai: Konkan Bells celebrates grand Monti Fest

Dubai, 14 Sep 2013: Konkan Bells Association of Dubai celebrated Monti Fest on Friday the 13th September 2013 at the Bangalore Empire Restaurant which began at about 6:30pm. All the Parishioners belonging to Belthangady deanery were gathered in large numbers.
The celebrations began with showering of flowers to Mother Mary by little children and blessings of the new corn and the prayers by the visiting priest Rev. Fr. Simon D’Souza of St. Francis Church Indabettu Parish. Fr. Simon said that he was very happy to meet all parishioners of Belthangady deanery under one umbrella KBA and that too on joysous occasion of feast of Nativity of B.V. Mary and wished all the members a blessed Happy Monti Fest.
The main sponsor of the event Mr. Walter Pereira while thanking all the members for their outstanding achievements within a short time of its existence and a lot of charity deeds they have been doing since and requsted them to make KBA as a role model association in the world.
Loads of cultural programs followed and the sumptuous monti fest lunch was served for all those attended the celberations.
Earlier Remigius D’Souza President welcomed the gathering and Rohan proposed the vote of thanks and the program was efficiently conducted by Godwin Rodrigues and Prima Periera.
Konkan Bells Association (KBA) was formed Sept - 2011 in Dubai, UAE with a mandate to ensure a focused approach towards uniting members and serving the needy from 10 parishes which fall under Belthangady deanery.
As a result on 9th of November 2011 KBA with help of its members , well wishers and generous sponsors conducted a sports day at wonderers Club Sharjah, where various teams and their families from state of Karnataka participated in the event.
Post event, KBA came up with a mission of helping children for their education by providing yearly school fees whose parents cannot afford their schooling. KBA proudly announces that on 18th of August 2013, KBA helped 32 needy students by paying their yearly educational expenses.
