Udupi: Scouts/Guides inculcate Leadership Qualities - Marate

Udupi, 14 Sep, 2013 : The student’s have greater scope to develop leadership qualities and moral values by actively involved in extra curricular activities such as scouts/guides, Seva Dal, NSS along with regular studies, said senior teacher and journalist B Pundalika Marate Shirva.
Pundalika was speaking after inaugurating cultural programmes during two-day leadership training camp that was jointly organized by public instructions department, and Udupi south zone Bharat scouts/guides, at Narayana Guru Education institution’s auditorium, Padubelle, near here on Friday September 13.
Pundalike appealed to the students to inculcate at least a few characters of scouts/guides which would make them worthy citizens of the nation.
Narayan Guru Education institution’s administrator Jinaraj C Salian presided the programme.
ZP member Geetanjali Suvarna, Mahesh Suvarna, school betterment Committee president A P Bhat, scouts secretary Shivanna Bayar, camp leaders Suresh Devadiga and Arundati Prabhu, and others wee present on the occasion.
Shashank, scout and student of Dandateerta School, Kaup was felicitated for his spot drawing on the skit Mother’s Bosom during the programme.
Pratibha Padubidri compered the programme.
Variety cultural shows were staged by the students on the occasion.
