Karkal: Don’t Snatch the Right of Reptile – Gururaj Sanil

Karkal, 11 Sep 2013 : The reptiles play key role in maintaining the environmental balance. It’s the rule of the nature, wherein all living creatures are dependent on each other. Meanwhile, its tragic that the so called intelligent creature - the human being is acting against this nature’s rule, said reptiles expert Gururaj Sanil.
Gururaj was speaking during Information and live demonstration of reptile programme held at Laxmi Janardhan Education Institution, Belman, near here on Tuesday September 10. It was organized as part of Jaycees Week by Jaycees of Belman.
The elders have created fear in the minds of children due to superstitious beliefs and ill conceived notion on reptiles. The reptiles too have right to live on this earth and none can take away their right, said Gururaj.
Gururaj tried to clear the doubts of fear in the minds of students, by educating them on different varieties of reptiles, their food habits and also gave them reptiles in their hands. He also educated them on first aid.
The zilla panchayat member Supreet Shetty inaugurated the programme.
Rotary district RTI Committee president B Pundalika Marate was the chief guest of the occasion.
Jaycees zonal director Srinat Bangera, Laxmi Janardhan Education Institution principal Bhujanga Shetty conveyed best wishes.
