Dubai: Mangalorean Anna D’Cruz Bags GEM Recognition & Milestone Award at Global Markets & Treasury

Dubai, 9 Sep 2013: Mangalorean Anna D’Cruz working for 21 years with Emirates NBD in Dubai received GEM Recognition and Milestone Award at Global Markets & Treasury along with other 3 long-service staff members.
The Global Markets and Treasury had a town hall meeting on Tuesday August 20, in the Dealing Room. Staff from Treasury along with Treasury back office, Finance, Risk and Group HRS was invited.
Aazar Khwaja, Group Treasurer briefed the staff on the half-yearly achievements of Treasury business, and motivated them to put in more effort to achieve its 2013 targets, which are aligned to the Bank’s growth initiatives.
Arnold from Group Human Resources gave an overview of the Souwti workplace engagement drivers that impact employee engagement. He mentioned that the management would like to gain employee feedback and improve on them to make Emirates NBD one of the best places to work.
Thereafter, as part of the GEM initiative, an Employee Recognition and Reward ceremony was conducted for its long serving employees.
Aazar Khwaja and Maryam Bahlooq, Head HR Business Partner, handed out the awards to the four staff who had achieved the varied milestones with Emirates NBD. They conveyed their appreciation and acknowledged the contribution of these long serving staff towards the growth of Global Markets & Treasury.

Anna is married to Pius D’Cruz, hailing from Belman, Dakshina Kannada district and has 3 children, Gloria, Aaron and Alisha. She is an active and valuable member of St Mary’s Konkan Community and Belman Association along with her husband. Currently, she is the secretary of SMKC Dubai. She has balanced her home and work life well in addition to her active participation in various philanthropic activities of the community.
