Udupi : Celebration of the Feast of Nativity in different parishes of Udupi Diocese

Udupi, 08 Sep 2013 : The feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated with great devotion and fervor in different parishes in Udupi and Mangalore Dioceses as well as other places within India and abroad. The feast is being celebrated in a traditional manner by blessing the new paddy, children offering flowers, solemn feast mass  and family members  partaking in the meal mixed with new blessed paddy kernel.  Monthi Festh is one of the most meaningful and beautiful festivals, especially in the Konkan region.
