Hassan: Indian Scientists Had to Take Keen Interest towards Patents: Ashok Haranahalli

Hassan, 01 Sep 2013: Malnad technical education Committee chairman Ashok Haranahalli urged the scientists to come forward to secure many patents.
Ashok was speaking after inaugurating national workshop on patent and innovations under instrumentation technology department TEQUIP – 2, that was organized jointly by Malnad Technical Institute, Hassan and SPFU, Bangalore, here on Saturday August 31.
Ashok explained in detail about Indian and World Patent works and hoped the Indian scientists take keen interest in securing more patents. He expressed his concern on the benefits of research in science and medicines should be made available to the common man. The technical students are of great help in reaching out these benefits to common man. He further stressed every Indian should take interest in upholding Indian traditions, stressed Ashok.
Malnad technical education Committee secretary R T Dyave Gowda, treasurer R Sheshagiri, Karnataka state SPFU project officer Arvind Kulkarni, College principal Dr M V Satyanarayan, vice principals Dr K S Jayant and Dr M S Ravi Prakash were present on the occasion.
The workshop convener Professor K Narasimhan and Dr G K Purushottam, and heads of departments were also present.
