Bantwal: Woman dies in Truck – Auto Rickshaw Collision

Bantwal, 20 Aug, 2013 :  A woman died and four passengers died in a collision between a poultry truck and an auto rickshaw in Veerakamba village, near here on Monday August 19.

 

The deceased has been identified as fifty-six-year-old Kusuma, a native of Kelinja, near here.  The passengers Vishwanat, Jayant, Harinakshi and auto rickshaw driver Yatin were injured.

 

The over speeding of truck driver was the cause for the collision that occurred at Yermemajal, that comes under the limkits of Veerakamba gram panchayat.

 

The truck was plying from Vittal to Kalladka, when it head-on collided with an auto rickshaw.

 

The woman succumbed due to excess bleeding midway while taking her to the hospital.

 

Vittal police arrested the truck driver and registered a case against him.
