Hassan: Bus Plunges into Lake; Passengers Miraculously Survive

Hassan, 07 August 2013 : The passengers of a private bus miraculously survived in head-on collision with Bolero pick up truck, at the outskirts of city in Kandali, here on Tuesday August 6 morning.

 

 

The passenger bus was plying from Kundapur to Bangalore, when it hit a cow and collided head-on collided with Bolero pick up truck laden with broiler chicken and plunged into the lake nearby.  Twenty-three passengers who were travelling in the bus miraculously escaped with minor injuries.  The driver of Bolero and its cleaner also sustained injuries, while the vehicle has been fully damaged owing to the impact.  Both the driver and cleaner were admitted to Government Hospital here.

 

The mishap occurred because bus driver tried to save a cow that was in middle of the road.  The cow died instantly and the bus plunged into a nearby lake bus after hitting the Bolero pick up truck.  It was fortunate that the lake had a little water and all the passengers survived miraculously.

 

The traffic police arrived at the spot and lifted the bus using cranes.  The traffic was restored within a few hours of mishap.
