Bantwal : ’Him Amchinch’ A wonderful moral street play was staged at Mondkap Church

Bantwal, 06 Aug 2013 : A moral street play titled  “Him Amchinch” was enacted by Modakap ICYM members, on Sunday 4th August at Modankap church grounds.

 

This street play “Him amchinch” is written by Melwyn Allipade, a talented actor of Kalakul drama repertory and was directed by Christopher Neenasam, the well known director of Kalakul repertory.

 

 

The idea to enact this this play was to creat Youth Awareness and enhance their talents and encourage many youth who are depressed due to alchohole, no job situation, parental problem and so on to get them in the fold of love and affection and enourage to them live a dignified life in a concept called “Yuva Andolan”. 

 

This play is the first performance being staged in this line.  A few more programs such as cultural, seminars, creating data base of all youth in the parish and their jobs, activities which will help the youth keep continual contacts among themselves.  These programs also aimed at to bring them into the fold of society and encourage them develop their inborn skills and talents through these programs in the coming months.

 

Actors started the play by putting steps to the beats of side drum played by writern himself Melwyn Allipade, by moving in a circle. It was continued with the beautiful narration and effective dialogues which was able to catch people’s attention. Through this play youth revealed a good message to the audience titled “ Protect our youngsters from bad habits like alcohol, drugs and depression “, because they are ours(him amchinch). They are the future of our society. Love them and encourage them to live a dignified life.  The play also highlited the reasons why our youth get addicted to bad habits. loneliness, irresponsibility on part of parents by bestowing them with money and gifts but not caring or checking on their activities.  Secondly, many don’t find good jobs even if they have completed good education, degrees and courses and many other problems the current youth are facing.

 

This wonderful moral play was played soon after the mass and a large crowd witnessed this beautiful play and applauded the loads of efforts put up by the ICYM youth to highlight the social evils.  The play was beautifully enacted and acted by youngsters and it was a memorable event.
