Mangalore: Security for Worship Centers on unveil; DC Prakash

Mangalore, 24 Jul 2013: In order to protect the ancient idols in temples, mosques and frescos in churches across Dakshina Kannada (DK) district, it’s essential to get latest surveillance technology, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) N Prakash.

DC Prakash convened a meeting with the heads of key temples and worship centers located in DK district here on Wednesday July 24, on the instructions from state home department, in order to devise safety measures in protecting the worship centers of different communities.

 

The aspect of insurance coverage and assigning armed security guards at the locations were also discussed during the meeting.
ADC K A Dayanand, religious and endowment officers were present at the occasion.
