Mangalore: Woman Dies of Dengue Fever in Constituency of State Health Minister U T Khader

Mangalore, 18 July : A woman who is wife of Karnataka Stare Reserve Police (KSRP) personnel residing in police quarters at Asaigoli – Konaje, here died of dengue fever, here on Thursday July 18 morning.
The deceased has been identified as fifty-two-year-old Juliet Apose, wife of KSRP head constable Joseph Apose. She is survived by one son and a daughter.
It’s significant that the police quarters at Asaigoli – Konaje comes under the limits of Mangalore north constituency represented by local MLA and state health minister U T Khader.
The incident is a wake up call to check the neighbourhood including the huge complex of police quarters for cleanliness and hygiene. The unhygienic and poor sanitation may have been a breeding ground for dengue-inducing mosquitoes. The civic body is urged to take early measures in fumigating the area to avoid future fatalities.
