M’lore : Kudupu Primary Health Center Inauguration – Testimony to efforts of Dr Sunil Evans Ja

Mangalore, 11 Jul 2013 :  On 8 June 2013 at Kudupu the newly constructed Primary Health Center Building was inaugurated by the Hon Minister for health Mr. U. T Khader, Mr. Ramanath Rai Hon Dist. for forest and Dist. In charge, Surathkal MLA Mr. Moideen Bawa. The Function was also graced  MLC Monappa Bhandary ,  DC  N Prakash , by the CSI Bishop Rev Father  J S Sadanand , Vamanjoor Jumma  Masjid  Aboobakker Musliyar and Kudupu Temple Trustee Krishnaraj Tantri , Dr O R Srirangappa  DHO DK and various other dignitaries.

The Function received an overwhelming response from the locals who have bestowed their respect and love in him by openly stating that we need an able replacement for him since incidentally Dr Jathhanna has secured the 2nd Rank in the in service PG entrance and joined MS Gen Surgery at Father Müllers College Mangalore. The Public of Kudupu will miss a doctor’s service that attended duty on weekends without fail and sparingly took leave. He has been affable to all walks of people either personally or by telephone at all times; He served them in the true sense 24 x7 as it is rightly asked for in state health service requirement. Anecdotally Dr Jathanna stated that being a bachelor I am married to the PHC hence such a service has been possible.

 

 

Kudupu PHC in its present pristine condition owes a lot to the timely and dedicated service of one man who has been working there since 2002 as Medical Officer. Dr Sunil Evans Jathanna a Graduate of KMC Mangalore and resident of Falnir Road , who hails from a family  of well educated professionals and members who have always led by the front in burdening others sorrows and joy  , He is the proud son of late Mr.Ebnezer Jathanna and Mrs Lidwyn Jathanna  who had inculcated high values, service to society and morals in all their children.

 

 

It was well said moment when Dr Jathanna on the dais in presence of his siblings was overjoyed at this proud moment of culmination of his effort to get a new PHC building commissioned in time wth all the various public, political and official support. The public have proactively supported the PHC in various ways including a CCTV, and other donations to make it an relevant contribution for society .He burst down in tears recalling the day being the 5th anniversary of his father, who always thought it was best to commemorate a event by rendering service to the society, what better than opening a PHC building the same day.He was rightly felicitated by the minister and the public in a heartwarming ceremony during the inauguration.

 

 

The locale of Kudupu PHC is a picturesque one with the back drop of the Gurupur River Valley and the Kudupu CSI church. The Building itself speaks volumes for the quality of the construction where quality has not been compromised and every effort has been put by the Contractor and the Engineer in delivering quality off course due diligence at all levels  with a personal interest by Dr Jathanna.

 

 

We wish Dr Sunil Jathanna on behalf of the public that may his service continue at the same level and wish be the best in his higher studies.
