Udupi: Silver Jubilee celebrations of Sri Narayanaguru High School Padubelle inaugurated

Udupi, 01 July 2013: Inaugurating the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Sri Naryayanaguru Highschool, Padubelle on Monday, July 1, 2013, the Guardian Minister of Udupi District-Vinayakumar Sorakae said that the Silver Jubilee is the occasion when the founders of the institution are remembered and all attempts are being made to work towards the successful celebration of Silver Jubilee.

Vasant V. Salian, the working president of the local administrative committee presided over the function. Rev. Fr. Paul Rego, Parish Priest of the Holy Cross Church, Pamboor who was the chief guest  gave benedictory oration.

 

The Vice President of the Billava Association of Mumbai Nityananda D. Kotian in his introductory address narrated the origin and progress of the high school since the last 25 years. Another guest of honour, Deputy Director of Udupi Public Education Department of Udupi, Nagendra Madhyastha symbolically distributed free books and uniform.

Local Committee Vice President S.K. Salian Belmannu who had been paying the fees of the students every year,  Surya Prakash from Udupi who has been distributing free uniforms in memory of his father late Kappettu Bola Poojary and the donor of Television to the school H. Dasanna from Mysore were felicitated during the occasion.

Jeetendra Suvarna, Presient of Billavas, Dubai was also honoured for giving one lakh of rupees as the first donation towards the Silver Jubilee celebrations.

Shankara Poojary, former president of Zilla Pnahayat, Ramachandra Kidiyur, local committee vice president, Rasshtraprashasthi teacher, Malpe Raghavendra, Mrs. Gibba Ida D’Souza, Zilla Pnahcayat member, Ashok Suvarna, President of Katapadi  Vishwanatha Ksshetra, Jinaraj C. Salian, school administrative officer, teachers and old students were present for the function.

Jayashankar Kutpadi, local committee vice president welcomed the guests, honorary secretary Shivaji S. Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks and Arundhati compeered the programme.
