Bantwal: Konkani Natak Sabha Bantwal Deanery Inter Parish Konkani Singing Competition held

Bantwal, 01 Jul 2013 : Konkani Natak Sabha, organized Bantwal deanery inter parish singing competitions, in commemoration of the golden jubilee celebrations, at Loretto parish auditorium, here on Sunday June 30.

Bantwal deanery vicar Fr Maxim L Noronha inaugurated the singing competition along with Loretto parish priest Fr Oswald Lasrado, assistant parish priest Fr Santhosh Lobo, Allipade parish priest Fr Gregory Pereira, Loretto parish council vice president Hubert Lobo, Konkani Natak Sabha president Capuchin Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza, vice president Dolphy Saldanha, general secretary Sunil Menezes, assistant secretary Lynette P Kamath and treasurer Prem Lobo, here on Sunday morning.

Speaking on the occasion Fr Mexim L Noronha congratulated the Konkani Natak Sabha for organizing the deanery level competition and wished all the participants every success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In both the categories 102 competitors from Bantwal, Loretto, Kuppepadav, Nirkan, Farla, Allipade, Agrar, Bellur and Mogarnad parishes of the Bantwal deanery participated in the competition. 

Semifinal qualifiers:
Below 10 years:
 
Solo – Melissa Menezes, Loretto and Renita Sandrya Crasta, Mogarnad
Duet – Kevin Moras and Manvith Pinto, Allipade, Glenita Pinto and Rishal Rosario, Loretto
Mixed Group: Reenal D’Silva and group, Loretto, Joyleen Pinto and Group, Allipade
 
10 to 15 years:
 
Solo    - Joyleen Sequeira, Allipade and Reeni Sonam, Loretto
Duet   - Alvia Fonseca and Preema Lasrado, Loretto, Seema D’Souza and Venessa Moras, Allipade
Mixed Group   - Prem Jeethan Pinto and group, Allipade, Riyana Sharol Rodrigues and group, Loretto
          
Above 15 years:

Babitha D’Sa from Valencia parish, Cyprian Vas and Jude Fernandes from Milagres parish were the jurors of the competition.
 
Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Judith D’Souza announced the results.
Prem Lobo introduced the judges, Dolphy Saldanha compered the programme.  Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks.
 
Audience enjoyed the jokes enacted by comedy king Adolpus Cutinha (Dolla,Manglur) on the occasion.
 
Prize distribution ceremony for the qualifier of semifinal was held after the competition. The Prizes were distributed by Fr Oswald Lasrado, Allipade parish priest Fr Gregory Pereira, along with Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza.
