Udupi: Rotary Club – Belman gets RCI Recognition Certificate

Udupi, 30 Jun 2013: Rotary Club International (RCI) that is founded with the motto of service, friendship, diversity, honesty and leadership qualities always committed for the selfless service of humanity. Meanwhile, a Rotary member if lives by the principles of RCI, he / she could be a true Rotarian, said RCI district governor Dr Devdas Rai.
Dr Devdas was speaking was during the handing over ceremony of RCI recognition certificate to Belman – Rotary Club founder president Suryakant Shetty and secretary Vignesh Shenoy, during a function held at Mini Vidhan Soudha at Belman granch panchayat, near here on Saturday June 29.
Dr Devdas also released ‘Siri Sampada’ commemorating bulleting of Rotary Club – Belman during the programme.
Padubidri – Rotary Club president Gangadhar Salian presided the function here on Saturday evening.
The assistant governor Manohar Rao released the handbill to create awareness on contagious diseases.
The financial help was awarded to Nivedita, poor student of St Joseph’s High School, Belman, near here towards her spinal surgery.
The zonal commandant Ramakrishna Achar, N P Shetty, Padubidri – Rotary Club secretary Hemachandra conveyed best wishes.
Shilpa Acharya rendered the prayers. V Poojary and Sunil Devadiga compered the programme. The new secretary Vigneshwar Shenoy proposed vote of thanks.
