Mangalore: MLA J R Lobo Reviews Healthcare Facilities at state-run Lady Goschen Hospital

Mangalore, 28 Jun 2013 : MLA J R Lobo visited the state-run Lady Goschen Hospital, here on Thursday June 27, to inspect the healthcare facilities and address the grievances of medical staff.
Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Shakuntala briefed MLA Lobo about the healthcare facilities, severe shortage of Group D employees, while a proposal has been forwarded to state administration to appoint 35 such employees as the existing 15 employees are unable to attend all the tasks at the hospital. Besides, to appoint more staff nurses, a few first and second division clerks in the office for managing the office efficiently.
MLA Lobo expressed satisfaction over the dedication of medical staff into their duties. He also viewed the upcoming new building block and hoped a few floors will be available for service by early 2014.
He also offered assurances of following up with the above mentioned proposal to appoint essential staff at the Hospital.
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Dr Geethanjali, visiting doctors and others were present at the occasion.
