Mangalore: Daylong Workshop on Drug Abuse Held in City

Mangalore, 26 Jun 2013: The city based Link Integrated rehabilitation Centre for Addicts, Bajal in association with Talent Research Foundation, organized daylong workshop for teachers on the occasion of International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, at Talent conference hall, Kankanady, here on Wednesday June 26.
MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the workshop by writing a message against drug abuse on the flex that was themed ‘Make health your new high in life not drugs’ at the occasion.
Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work former principal Dr Olinda Pereira presided the function.
The Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) Moses Rajashekar, women and child welfare officer Shakuntala, Talent Research Foundation founder chairman Abdul Rauf Puttige, Block Education officer (BEO) Sudhakar were the chief guests present.
The prominent psychiatrists Dr Ravish Tunga and Dr Satish Kumar conducted the workshop at the occasion. A large number of teachers, students, their parents and social activists attended the workshop.
