Mangalore: Konkani Natak Sabha, Kinnigoli Deanery Inter Parish Konkani Singing Competition held

Mangalore, 24 June, 2013 : In commemoration of the golden inter parish Konkani singing competition of Konkani Natak Sabha, Kinnigoli deanery inter parish singing competition was held at Kinnigoli parish hall, here on Sunday June 23.

The singing competition was inaugurated by Kinnigoli deanery vicar Fr Alfred J Pinto by lighting the lamp along with Kinnogoli parish assistant priest Fr Vinod Lobo, Pakshikere parish assistant priest Fr Jesudas D’Costa, Konkani Natak Sabha president Capuchin Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza, vice president Dolphy Saldanha, general secretary Sunil Menezes and treasurer Prem Lobo.

In both the categories 92 competitors from Kinnigoli, Kirem, Pakshikere and Niddody parishes of the Kinnigoli deanery participated in the competition.

Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Prem Lobo introduced the judges, Dolphy Saldanha compered the programme and Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks.

Audience enjoyed the jokes enacted by Comedy King Adolpus Cutinha (Dolla,Manglur) on the occasion.

Prize distribution ceremony for the qualifier of semifinal was held after the competition.

The prizes were distributed by Fr Vinod Lobo and Fr Jesudas D’Costa, along with Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza. Felix Sequeira announced the results.
