Moodbidri: Graduation Day Held at Dr M V Shetty Technical Institute, Thodar

Moodbidri, 11 Jun 2013: ‘It’s a great challenge to make the optimum use of available resources.  Its owing to inefficiency in this regard, we will have to face dearth of resources in the coming days.  Therefore, the need of the hour is to devise means of reuse and recharge the resources,’ said Dr K E Prakash, registrar of Vishveshwarayya Technological College, Belgaum.

 


Dr Prakash was speaking at the Graduation Day function for the second batch of Dr M V Shetty Technical Institute (MVSTI), Thodar, near here on Saturday June 8.


Dr Prakash appealed to the students to become intellectuals not just specialized in engineering.  They got to have respect to their Institution and their parents.


Speaking on the occasion, Mangalore University registrar Professor P S Yadapadittaya said that one should be intelligent to apply his / her intellect.  The efficiency has significance than eligibility.  Meanwhile, one can be a success in life, by embodied with moral values, knowledge, good character, skills and hobbies.


Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust ® founder secretary Ramgopal in his presidential address said that MVSTI was set up in the rural area of Thodar, near here with an objective of serving the society by nurturing good engineers.


MVSTI principal Dr Sandeep J Nayak presented the progress report.


The electronics and communications department head Gangadhar, electrical and electronics department head Vinod Kumar, information science department co-ordinator Mamata, computer science department chief Guruprasad, mechanical department chief Professor Subraya Baliga offered information about the students of their respective faculties.


The graduation certificates were distributed to 167 students, while the administrator Dr Jayaram Hegde officiated the oath.  


Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust ® trustee Dr Hima Urmila Shetty and heads of different faculties were present at the dais.


The students Neha and Nikhil Pai shared their study experiences.


The trustee Dr Ranjit Shetty welcomed the gathering.  The vice principal Dr Suresh Kumar proposed vote of thanks.  The lecturers Shabana and Sarika compered the programme.
