Udupi: Shruti, Cine Artiste ties wedding-knot with journalist Chandrashekar at Mookambika temple

Udupi, 7 Jun 2013: Shruti, cine artiste and politician tied wedding-knot with Bangalore-based journalist Chandrashekar at Mookambika temple, Kollur, near here on Thursday June 6 morning.  It’s the second wedding for Shruti.

The wedding was originally fixed to hold in Baniga, Shimoga on Wednesday June 5.  The wedding preparations were made at the wedding hall there.  Meanwhile, it was decided to hold the wedding in Kollur temple on Thursday.  ‘I wanted to get wedded in a temple and it was realized at Kollur, besides June 6 is the birthday of my daughter,’ said Shruti.

 

Shruti’s original name is Girija who was wedded with Chandrashekar.  Vidwan Kamalakar Bhat performed the vedic rites that are associated with their wedding that was simple ceremony attended by family members of couple.

‘I have come directly to Kollur after the shooting in Chennai and will go back there,’ said Shruti to media persons.

Shruti has earlier married to movie director Mahendra and have a daughter.  She was divorced and later joined BJP and KJP to explore her chances in Karnataka politics.
