Udupi: Jnanaganga P U College felicitates Distinction Holders

Udupi, 6 Jun 2013: Jnanaganga Pre-University College organized the felicitation function for the students who secured distinctions in the recently held II PUC exams.

The former Lions governor Indrali Jayakar Shetty inaugurated the programme.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Jayakar advised the students to choose an area of interest and pursue studies diligently to excel in life.  He also urged the students to contribute their mite for their institution when they are employed in gainful employments.

T M A Pai education institution principal Mahabaleshwar Rao was the chief guest of the occasion.

Mahabaleshwar commended the governing council of the College for their societal concern of economically-weaker students at a time education is run like businesses.  He advised students to give equal importance for the language and other literature.

The governing council chairman Suresh Shetty in his presidential address congratulated students and appreciated the effort of staff and office staff.
The distinction holders Locklyn, Kavya, Akash, Shalini, Poornima, Shobitha, Vijay Bhagavat and Nagaraj were felicitated at the same occasion.

The governing council of College also honoured philanthropist Nandakumar who has sponsored the studies of 5 studies.  He affirmed his support for the studies of economically-weaker students of Kannada medium school.

Jnanaganga Pre-University College principal U L Bhat welcomed the gathering.  Prabhakar K S proposed vote of thanks.  Kamalakshi Prakash compered the programme.
