Mangalore: Minister U T Khader announces Health Authorities to Screen all Students over Dengue Menac

Mangalore, Jun 3: The state health department has waged war on dengue menace, while the health authorities will organize health-check-up programme of all school students across the state, said health and family welfare minister U T Khader.

 

 

Addressing the media person, here on Monday June 3, minister Khader said that the state has considered dengue menace seriously.  He urged the people to report at the state-run healthcare facilities to confirm the fever as soon as one experiences the symptoms, urged minister Khader.

The areca growers need not be apprehensive over gutka ban introduced by the state government that is committed to protect their interest, assured minister Khader. The people between the age group of 20 to 40 years are affected the most by consumption of gutka, said minister Khader.  He also advised the areca growers to check what percentage of areca nut is mentioned in a sachet of gutka, advised minister Khader.

‘Despite, over 20 states of our country banned gutka, former regime of BJP-led state administration has not banned owing to the lure of mafia.  Meanwhile, the newly-formed Congress state government has taken the bold decision to ban the gutka,’ said U T Khader.
