Mangalore: MLA J R Lobo Listens to Grievances of Veg Merchants

Mangalore, 21 May 2013: The newly-elected MLA J R Lobo visited the Central Market here on Monday May 20, in order to have first-hand account of the conditions existing at the premises and the difficulties faced by the merchants.
MLA Lobo listened to the general grievances of traders, vegetable vendors, florists and petty shopkeepers that despite their repeated pleas to concerned authorities in order to improve the basic amenities and maintain sanitation at the Central Market, the situation remained the same.
Addressing the media persons, MLA Lobo stressed on cleanliness at a busy market that has been a landmark building in city. ‘A meeting will be held on Tuesday May 21 with civic and health officials to solve the issue at the earliest,’ said MLA Lobo.
MLA Lobo further said that he would make his honest efforts in realizing the proposed new Central Market building.
