Udupi: Most awaited Konkani Telefilm ’Anjelina’ Released

Udupi, 21 May 2013 : In association with A.J.Productions and St Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Youth Association, the most awaited Konkani Telefilm "Anjelina" was released and held its premiere show at Makkala Mantap, S.M.S.PUCollege, Brahmaver near here on Sunday, 19th May, 2013.

Pramod Madwaraj, newly elected MLA of Udupi was released the film. Earlier Kasargod Chinna President of Konkani Sahitya Academy, Karnataka spoke during the occasion. Hesaid that  the music director Dolwin Kolalgiri and said he is proud to have a talented person like him in the Konkani speaking community. He promised to give all support from the Konkani Academy in his future endeavours.

Pramod Madwaraj said that to work in film industry one should have a strong mind, faith and dedication. Keeping this in mind three youngsters came up with the telefilm ’Angelina’. May they succeed in their aim and mission and come up with more stories on social awareness for the society. Films should be prepared for the betterment of the society to change good and not to disaster of the life.

 

During the occasion other guests of honour were present on the dais were Fr. Lawrence D’Souza, Vicar General of Syrian Orthodox Church, Brahmaver, Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Chancellor of Udupi Diocese and Vicar of Barkur Church, Rev Fr. Naveen Menezes Asst Parish Priest of Mount Rosary, Kallianpur, Rathna Kumar Secretary of Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Bhantakal, Veronica Cornelio President of Women’s Congress Udupi Dist., Alwyn Lobo Vice President of SMS Youth Association, Snehal Mathais Heroine of the Telefilm Anjelina and producers of the telefilm Adel D’Souza, Jeevan Lazarus and Joseph Rebello.

Rathnaraj Kumar spoke during the occasion and appreciated Joseph Rebello who also member of their Engineering College for his outstanding acheivements to produce the telefilm.

Fr. Valeiran Mendonca felicitated three producers Adel, Jeevan and Jospeh during the occasion and Fr. Valerian Mendonce spoke during the occasion.Dolwin Kolalgiri also felicitated by Fr. Valerian Mendonca. Mementos were given to all concerned who helped technically or otherwise during the occasion. Prior to the stage functions a live musical show was arranged. Singers of the telefilm sang songs from Angelina to entertain the audience. Prajoth D’sa, Vinay Lewis, Dolwin Kolalgiri, Arun Danthy and Shiny Rodrigues sang all the numbers of the telefilm.Joel Dance Academy, Santhekatte, Kallianpur danced on two numbes from the telefilm.

Melba Teena Lewis welcomed the gathering. Jeevan Lazarus proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of AJ productions. Alwyn Lobo thanked everyone on behalf of the organizers.Arun Danthi compered the musical show and Leslie Aroza Thottam compered the formal stage function.

The first premier show was arranged on the big screen at Makkala Mantapa which houseful show with hundreds of people thronging the venue upto end of the show.
