Udupi: Cong Activists Burst 108 Coconuts to Celebrate Siddaramaiah’s Swearing-in

Udupi, 14 May 2013 : The well wishers of Siddaramaiah in the taluk expressed their joy and prayed for his success by bursting 108 coconuts on the ground at Mahalingeshwar Mahaganapati temple, Parkala, near here, as the swearing-in ceremony of Siddaramaiah as twenty-third CM was in progress at Bangalore on Monday May 13 at 11.40am.
The Congress activists prayed with the temple deity to bestow blessing on Siddaramaiah to become CM, ahead of recently held assembly elections. The activists offered special puja and also presented castor oil to the temple priest at the occasion.
The town council member Ramdas Nayak, hotelier Mohandas Nayak, Ganesh Raj, Gopalakrishna Acharya, Sudhakar Serigar, Brahmavar Seva Dal president Kiran Raj, Subramanya Patel, Mubin, Siddiq, Gopal Nayak, Devendra Naik, Usha Poojary, Supreeta, Chandrika and others were present at the occasion.
