Udupi: Madwa Vadiraj Technical & Mgmt College, Bantakal Celebrates Annual Day with Fanfare

Udupi, 6 May 2013: The students who can live worthy lives by utilizing their hard earned knowledge for the good of society, advised Ramachandra V Bhat, vice president, operations and maintenance, Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL).
Bhat was the chief guest speaking during third annual day celebration of Madwa Vadiraj Technical and Management College, Bantakal, near here recently.
Sodhe Vadiraj Mutt Education Trust secretary Ratna Kumar in his presidential address said that the governing council is trying its best in order to provide all the essential facilities for the students to excel in studies and extra-curricular activities, said Ratna Kumar. He also urged the students to fulfill the aspiration of Swami Vishwavallabateerta of Sodhe Vadiraj mutt, urged Kumar.
Karnataka Bank general manager N Upendra Prabhu advised the students to adapt new invention and also lay emphasis on conserving the eco-environment, advised Prabhu.
The College principal Professor Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal presented the annual report and also acknowledged the donors in staging this programme.
The trustee Raghavendra Tantri was present at the dais.
The students unit of ISTE Union and upgraded website of Institute was inaugurated at the same occasion.

The funds collected by NSS, Red Cross and Rotary Club were handed over to the office bearers of Vishwasadamane – old age home located in Shankarapura and Manasa – special school during the programme.
Dr Radheshyam welcomed the gathering. The vice principal Professor Kishore Baglody and Professor Nagaraj Rao introduced the dignitaries.
The toppers and winners of various competitions were presented cash prizes that was donated by Swami Vishwavallabateerta and Bangalore based chartered accountant Goutham.
Usha rendered the prayers. Professor Renita Monis proposed vote of thanks. Alisha and Nihal Shetty compered the programme.
A documentary on the Institute was screened besides cultural programmes were staged by the students as part of entertainment after the stage programme.
