Voting – sacred right
The exercising of votes is a constitutional right that can assure democratic governance shunning slavery. It’s the key aspect in democracy. Your vote counts in determining the fate of state / nation. One should not undermine what makes a difference, if I don’t vote that has to be changed to my single vote can make everything worthwhile.
The maturity lies in knowing that I have to cast my vote compulsorily as people above the age of 18 years are empowered to vote in India. If I fail in this, I am likely to cause injustice to my children and future generation.
We have a choice to elect a preferred candidate in a democratic country, who can address our grievances effectively in legislature and parliament. The needs for basic amenities in our constituencies are effectively fulfilled through the peoples’ elected representatives.
It’s essential to exercise the franchisee of vote to bring about change in society and state. The election aims at bringing change that would assure prosperity to all.
One should be convinced that if the voter’s does not vote to bring change in political regime, the vested interests are awaiting to take shortcuts and anti-people policies.
One who does not vote has no right to avail constitutional rights. He / she will have no right to criticize.
India is the largest democracy in the world, and we have to live in the country as peaceful heaven in the midst of people belonging to diverse cultures and faith, as Kuvempu, Karnataka legendary litterateur stated in his works. This makes one most essentially to cast his/her vote to elected able leaders.
