Udupi: Congress Veteran Janardhan Poojary alleges Vasant Salian Caused Injustice to Party

Udupi, 29 Apr 2013: Congress party is like a mother who has nurtured innumerable leaders and activists.  The ticket aspirant Congress veteran Vasant Salian is one among them.  He caused injustice to party, for mere not issuing party ticket to contest the upcoming assembly elections.  He has jumped to other party like a money, criticized Congress veteran Janardhan Poojary.

 Addressing the media persons during a press meet held here on Sunday April 28, Poojary said that Congress party has never caused injustice to Vasant Salian who had been issued party ticket to contest the assembly elections for 7 times in the past.  He was elected as MLA five times and became minister twice.  Despite of this, he has caused injustice to Congress that is like his mother, alleged Poojary.

 

 

If repents his act of desertion to join other party, he will be welcomed in Congress.  If he comes back after the assembly elections, Congress would not open its door,’ Poojary said firmly.

Congress candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake who is contesting from Kaup legislative constituency, local leaders Naveenchandra Shetty, Y Sudhir Kumar, Jaya Shetty, Shivaji Suvarna, B A Moideen and others were present at the occasion.

‘I was denied party ticket twice; in spite of this I have not deserted the party.  The faithfulness is essential to Congress.  What have you done Vasant Salian?  Whether Tulunadu heroic icons Koti Chennaaya who are worshipped by coastal residents will ever be pleased by your act,’ questioned Poojary.
