Kundapur: I am not willing to become Chief Minister; Oscar Fernandes

Kundapur, 21 Apr 2013: ‘I am not willing to become Chief Minister (CM), even if party high command offers me the post,’ renounced All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Oscar Fernandes.
‘One ought to make preparations to become CM, which I have not done at all,’ explained Oscar about his decision.
Addressing the media persons, after partaking in the election campaign for the upcoming assembly election, on behalf of Byndoor legislative assembly constituency Congress candidate Gopal Poojary, near here on Saturday April 20, Oscar Fernandes said that it’s normal to have more number of ticket aspirants in most popular political party. Meanwhile, the efforts are being made to resolve the rebelliousness. The tickets are being issued with the higher chances of winning to a candidate. The sacrifice and service of those party men who did not get an opportunity to contest in the upcoming assembly elections will be acknowledged appropriately in the future by the party, assured Oscar.
MLC K Pratapchandra Shetty, Byndoor Congress candidate K Gopal Poojary, Congress leaders M A Gafoor, Inayat Ali, Dinesh Putran, Raju Devadiga, Anant Movady and others were present at the occasion.
