Kundapur: Hindu Jagarana Vedike Stages Massive Protest against Illegal Construction of Mosque at Gan

Kundapur, 3 Apr 2013: Hindu Jagaran Vedike staged a massive protest in front of the office of Gangolli gram panchayat, near here on Tuesday April 2, to condemn the construction of Misfah Ul Uloom mosque at Gangolli, for violating the orders of Gangolli gram panchayat.


 
The protesters alleged that Gangolli is communally most sensitive locality in the Udupi district.  It has 9 mosques although the district administration has records of only 6 mosques.  Meanwhile, the community has been building Misfah Ul Uloom mosque at ward number 1 of in Gangolli since the past 2 years without the permission of village council, alleged the protesters.

 


Meanwhile, the protesters cautioned the gram panchayat and police department that the illegal construction of mosque is not tolerated and it may flare up into full scale communal violence, if the authorities delay in taking early steps in defusing the situation, cautioned the protesters. 


Gangolli gram panchayat president Sakamma said that the gram panchayat has not issued license to build the mosque and a notice has been served to concerned authorities to stop the work.  The issue will be brought to the notice of Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Tahsildar and Superintendent of Police and all related government officials, said Sakamma.


Hindu Jagaran Vedike north region legal advisor Rajesh Naik, Byndoor taluk convener Vasu Devadiga also addressed the protesters.
Hindu Jagaran Vedike local unit convener Raghunat Karvi, Ravindra Patel, Umanat Devadiga, Raghavendra Ganiga, Ratnakar Ganiga, Shivanand Ganiga, B Ganesh Shenoy, Rama Karvi Guddekeri, Gangadhar S R G and others were present.


Gangolli gram panchayat vice president Sharada Serigar, members B Laxmikant Madivala, B Raghavendra Pai, Mahesh Poojary, Raja Karvi, acting panchayat development officer Rajeshwari Chandavar, Kundapur circle inspector Manjunat Kavari, Gangoli sub-inspector Sampat Kumar and others were also present at eh occasion.


 
The protesters submitted a memorandum to gram panchayat administration and circle inspector in this regard.

what's the problem with these guys. why can't they go to directly to the concerned department and register complaint? These guys are really jobless and wanted to destroy peace among the people. When people do not fear God these things are common.
