M’lore: Twenty-Sixth Kevin Misquit Musical Concert Enthralls Music-buffs at Kinnigoli Parish Grounds

Mangalore, 01 Apr 2013: The upcoming Konkani musician Kevin Misquit and his band ‘Milestone’ staged twenty-sixth Kevin Misquit Musical Concert at Immaculate Conception parish grounds, Kinnigoli, near here on Sunday March 31 evening.  It was organized by Snehalaya Charitable Trust, in aid of raising funds for their mission.


Kevin’s super hit numbers - Mhoeja Anja, Thembe Thembe, Kenna Kenna, Hee Jeenn, Kalza Thar,  Kaliz Bullam and also songs like Heyo Heyo, Tu Munon, Thembe Thembe, Pavlle etc composed by Kevin for the lyrics of poets Wilson Kateel, Kishoo Barkur, Melwin Rodrigues, Sanjay Borkar  were presented at the concert.


Apart from Kevin, Royston Pinto, Munita Veigas, Ashwin Sequeria and Clement Fernandes sang the beautiful numbers mesmerizing the crowd, while Jackson Noronha, Clyde Lobo, Sanjeeth Rodrigues, Rikith Soans and Ashwin scored the background music.
However, Pavlle, Kalza thar Tu Munon and Kenna Kenna got the loudest cheer. June Zoon - a newly composed song for a old poetry of legendary poet Cha Fra  D’Costa was appreciated by all. Saibha Bogos - a song dedicated to create awareness on the proposed thermal power plant at Niddodi , near here was also presented.

 

 

 


The song - Kor Kantar that has message of spreading love and happiness was specially dedicated to John Crasta and his team at Snehalaya Charitable Trust.

Pokri Kalakar – a comedy troupe enthralled the audience with their choicest jokes.
Nach Sobhann  - dance troupe of Mandd Sobhann staged variety dances during the intervals.
Kinnigoli parish priest Fr Alfred Pinto, Pakshikere – St Jude’s parish priest  Fr Andrew Leo, the main sponsor Ronald D’Costa, Harish Kumar, Raymond D’Souza and others were present at the dais.


Fr Alfred Pinto in his address commended the humanitarian deeds of Snehalaya Charitable Trust.  Both Fr Alfred and Fr Andrew appreciated the quality of the music concert and conveyed best wishes to Kevin in his future endeavour.
Joseph Crasta welcomed the gathering and explained mission oft Snehalaya. Vernon D’Souza and Sheldon Crasta compered the concert.
