Shirva: The greatest human being is the one who cares for Others - Prof Dr. Aithal

Shirva, 29 Mar 2013: For the betterment of the world community we see in the members of the Rotary International a constantly beating kind heart, honesty and service mindedness. He who wishes well for others grows in stature in life. He who cares for others is the greatest human being in the society. This is the opinion expressed by Prof. Dr Radhakrishna S. Aithal, lecturer at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal.
He was the chief guest at a function jointly organised by Shirva Rotary Club and Rotary Trust to celebrate the “Shirva Rotary Foundation Day and Family Get-together” held at Kodu Panjimaru Mulkadi Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple community hall. He also honoured the Managing Director of Udupi Model Hospital and district rajyostava award winner Dr Chandrashekar.
Accepting the honour, Dr Chandrashekar said that the true physician is the one who wins the confidence of the patient. The main factor that contributes towards the healing process is the trust the patient has on the physician.
On this occasion Ms Veena Samaga, artiste and director of Udupi Shri Radhakrishna Dance School and yet another district rajyostava award winner was felicitated along with the wedding silver jubilee celebrants Rajendraprasad and Sukanya couple. Regional Vice-Governor Manohar Rao congratulated the honoured guests. On the dais present were centenary Rotary Trust president Dr K. R. Venkatakrishna, Secretary Michael Mathias and president designate Leo Noronha.
Edwin Rodrigues explained the importance of Rotary Foundation Day. K. R. Patkar introduced the guests and the honoured personalities. Rotary president Mathias Lobo presided over and welcomed the gathering. Raghupathy Aithal compeered and rotary secretary S. Panduranga Kamath proposed vote of thanks.
