Udupi: Electioneering Officers Seize Water Tankers of Pramod Madwaraj over Breaching Code of Conduct

Udupi, 27 Mar 2013: The election officers seized water tankers owned by Congress leader Pramod Madwaraj, while supplying drinking water to the residents of Shastavu locality near Brahmavar here on Tuesday March 26, for violating the code of conduct ahead of assembly elections.  

 
The tankers were supplying drinking water to each household in Shastavu locality since the past many weeks.  Its owing to complaints, the election officers seized the tankers here on Tuesday.

 
Pramod Madwaraj is the likely candidate of Congress to contest from Udupi legislative assembly constituency in the upcoming elections.  The election officers have taken this action, as it’s likely to lure the voters to cast their valuable votes in his favour.
