Mangalore, 11 Mar 2013: The Congress bagged majority in the civic polls of t Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) here on Monday March 11.

Vinayaraj A C who contested as Congress candidate from Court ward number 40 defeated BJP candidate Ranganat Kini with a margin of 117 votes.  Congress candidate Ratikala who contested from Bolar ward number 58 defeated BJP candidate Geetha Rajendra with a margin of 376 votes.  JDS candidate Rameeza Banu who contested from Bunder ward number 44 defeated Congress candidate Mamata Shenoy with a margin of 44 votes.  BJP candidate Gunashekar Shetty who contested from Idya East ward number 6 defeated Congress candidate with a margin of 39 votes.

 

Congress candidate Pratibha Kulai who contested from Hosabettu ward number 8 defeated BJP candidate Leelavati with a margin of 526 votes.  BJP candidate who contested from Kunjatbail South ward number 15 defeated Congress candidate Sumant with a margin of 639 votes.  BJP candidate Ganesh who contested from Kulai ward number 9 defeated Congress candidate Rajesh with a margin of 1,043 votes.

 

Congress candidate Harinat who contested from Marakada ward number 14 defeated BJP candidate Ashok with a margin of 527 votes.  BJP candidate Vijay Kumar who contested from Alape South ward number 50 defeated Congress candidate Vishwanat with a maragin of 266 votes.  Congress candidate Nagaveni who contested from ward number 25 defeated BJP candidate Srilata with a margin of 591 votes.  Congress candidate who contested from Jeppu ward number 59 defeated BJP candidate Swarnalata with a margin of 635 votes.  BJP candidate Surendra who contested from Jappinamogaru ward number 54 defeated CPI (M) candidate Udayachandra Rai with a margin of 66 votes.  Congress candidate Purushottam Chitrapur who contested from Baikampady ward number 10 defeated Rajesh Salian with a margin of 358 votes.  Congress candidate Abdul Latif who contested from Fort ward number 45 defeated BJP candidate Manoj Kumar Shetty with a margin of 441 votes.  Congress candidate who contested from Attavar ward number 55 defeated BJP candidate Pavanakshi with a margin of 476 votes.

 

 

 
Congress candidate Jacinta Vijay Almeida who contested from Falnir ward number 39 defeated JDS candidate Clista Noronha with a margin of 461 votes.  The former Mayor Congress candidate Gulzar Banu who contested from Katipalla Noarth ward number 5 faced defeat by SDPI candidate Ayaz with a margin of 625 votes.  Congress candidate Zubaida who contested from Padav Central ward number 35 defeated independent candidate Mariamma Thomas with a margin of 233 votes.  Congress candidate Praveenchandra Alva who contested from Kankanady ward number 49 defeated BJP candidate Bhaskarachandra Shetty with a margin of 802 votes.


 
Congress candidate who contested from Kankanady – Valencia ward number 48 defeated BJP candidate Prabha Malini with a margin of 198 votes.  BJP candidate Sudhir Shetty who contested from Kannur ward number 52 defeated Congress candidate Umarabba with a margin of 824 votes.  Congress candidate Sumaiyya who conatested from Bajal ward number 53 defeated CPI (M) candidate Jayanti V Shetty with a margin of 890 votes.


 
The independent candidate Revati Putran who contested from Suratkal West ward number 1 defeated BJP candidate Kishore Putran with a margin of 140 votes.  BJP candidate Harish N Shetty who contested from ward number 16 defeated Congress candidate Keshav Sanil with a margin of 10 voates.  Radhakarishna who contested from Derebail south west ward number 26 defeated BJP candidate Kishore with a margin of 666 votes.


 
Congress candidate Bhaskar K who contested from Padav East ward number 36 defeated BJP candidate Anil Kumar with a margin of 2,053 voates.  BJP candidate Rajendra who contested from Dongarakeri ward number 42 defeated Congress candidate I N Sadashiv Acharya with a margin of 1,046 votes.


 
Congress candidate Abdul Rauf who contested from Milagres ward number 47 defeated BJP candidate Lalesh Kumar with a margin of 103 votes.  Congress candidate Basheer Ahmed who contested from Katipalla East ward number 3 defeated Honnaya Kotian with a margin of 56 votes.  Congress candidate Ashok Shetty who contested from Idya West ward number 7 defeated BJP candidate Mahesh Rai with a margin of 298 votes.


BJP candidate Jayant Achar who contested from Mannagudda ward number 28 defeated Congress candidate Mamata Shetty with a margin of 695 votes.  BJP candidate Premanand Shetty who contested from Mangaladevi ward number 56 defeated Congress candidate Sunil Shetty with a margin of 428 votes.


BJP candidate Tilakraj who contested from Katipalla – Krishnapur ward number 4 defeated Congress candidate S A Khader with a margin of 72 votes.  Congress candidate K Mohammed who contested from ward number 13 defeated BJP candidate Sharat Kumar with a margin of 317 votes.  Congress candidate Kavita Sanil who contested from Pacchanadi ward number 19 defeated BJP candidate Savita Sandeep with a margin of 525 votes.


BJP candidate Navinchandra who contested from Kambla ward number 29 defeated Congress candidate Ganesh with a margin of 853 votes.  Congress candidate Ashok Kumar D K who contested from Kadri South ward number 33 defeated BJP Srikant Rao with a margin of 1,027 votes.  Congress candidate Sabiata Misquith who contested from Shivabagh ward number 34 defeated BJP candidate Sandhya V with a margin of 620 votes.  Congress candidate Keshav who contested from Shivabagh ward number 37 defeated independent candidate James D’Souza with a margin of 378 votes.  Congress candidate Naveen Robert D’Souza who conatested from Bendore ward number 38 defeated BJP candidate Timmappa Poojary with a margin of 1,237 votes.  JDS candidate Abdul Aziz who contested from Kudroli ward number 43 defeated Congress candidate Samsuddin with a margin of 10 votes.
BJP candidate Raghuveer who contested from Panamboor – Bengre ward number 11 defeated Congress candidate Harschandra with a margin of 11 votes.  Congress candidate Deepak K Poojary who contested from Kavoor ward number 18 defeated BJP candidate Suchetan with a margin of 108 votes.  Congress candidate Mahabala Marla who contested from Kadri Padav ward number 22 defeated BJP candidate Jayanand Anchan with a margin of 568 votes.


BJP candidate Nagesh K who contested from Derebail East ward number 23 defeated Congress candidate M Ramachandra with a margin of 193 votes.  Congress candidate Kavita who contested from Hoige Bazaar ward number 57 defeated BJP candidate Deepak Rai with a margin of 101 votes.


Congress candidate Lancelot Pinto who contested from Bejai ward number 31 defeated BJP candidate Jagdish with a margin of 1,032 votes.  Congress candidate Akhila Alva who contested from Padav West ward number 32 defeated Shikala Kava with a margin of 22 votes.  BJP candidate Roopa D Bangera who contested from Kadri North ward number 32 defeated Sasikala with a margin of 566 votes.


 
Congress candidate B Prakash who conatested from Alape North ward number 51 defeated BJP candidate Vasant Poojary with a margin of 213 votes.  BJP candidate Sumitra who contested from Suratkal East ward number 2 defeated Congress candidate Priyanka with a margin of 41 votes.  BJP candidate Poornima who contested from ward number 41 defeated independent candidate Jayasree with a margin of 557 votes.


Congress candidate Sasudar Hegde who contested from Derebail North ward number 17 defeated BJP candidate Mohan Shetty with a margin of 1,692 votes.  BJP candidate Divakar who contested from Cantonment ward number 46 defeated Congress candidate Deepak J Rao with a margin of 1,057 votes.

I know the reporter is a Congress Party worker. Some seen in the pics are my contacts. I am happy for them. Yet, journalistic standard would have been higher and unbiased, if all camps and parties were covered.
