Mangalore: AIMIT hosts CHAYACHITRA Online Photography Contest

Mangalore, 07 Mar 2013: CHAYACHITRA Online Photography Contest, hosted by MBA Department of St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) as part of the flagship Management Fest INSIGNIA 2013, begins February 13, 2013 and ends March 8th, 2013 11:59 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest. Entries will be posted to the facebook page after the authenticity of the photo is ensured.

Who may enter:
Students  pursuing their Graduation or Post Graduation can send in your entries.
What to enter:
• Photographs must have been shot by the entrant.
• Cropped photos are eligible.
• We do not accept digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered photos. Minor adjustments like contrast and slight colour adjustment or the digital equivalents are acceptable.
• If the judges or co-ordinators determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to disqualify the photo.
• Photos that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.

How to enter:
Send in your photograph based on the theme “Shutter for a Cause” with the registration form available at www.staloysius.ac.in/insignia2013 and send it to our email insignia2013@staloysius.ac.in
The photo should be a given a suitable caption along with a brief description (within 30 words)
Only one entry per contestant is allowed.
Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. Files submitted may not be larger than 25Mb.
 The CHAYACHITRA co-ordinators reserve the right to disqualify incomplete entries.
Top 10 contestants will have to submit a scanned image of their college ID card.
Entry deadline:
All entries must be received through the email id (insignia2013@staloysius.ac.in) by 11:59PM IST March 8th, 2013.

 

Judging:
Judging of the CHAYACHITRA contest will be conducted by a panel of experts.
Photos will be judged on-
• Appropriateness of the photograph to the theme.
• Weightage will be awarded for the number of likes on the INSIGNIA2013 facebook page (www.facbook.com/insignia2013) album.
Shortlisted photographs will be announced on March 10th 2013.
The shortlisted contestants will be intimated by email.
The co-ordinators reserve the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to: inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
Decisions of the CHAYACHITRA judges and coordinators are final.
