CD of Kannada patriotic songs released by Sandesha

Mangalore, 02 July 2010: ‘Hadona-Kuniyona, an audio-CD of 10 new patriotic songs in Kannada, was released at Padua High School, Mangalore by Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor, the Principal of Padua P U College, on 25th June 2010 during a colourful function.
The lyrics and tunes of the new album were composed by Mr. Stany Baretto, the Mathematics teacher of the school. The music to the songs was provided by Mr Razak T. P. and were sung by Mr. Ravindra Prabhu, Ms. Sangeetha Balachandra and the students of Sandesha College of Fine Arts. The album was produced by Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education, directed by Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca, and recorded by Mr. Ashith Pinto at Sandesha Digital Studio.
Fr. Michael, releasing the new album, congratulated Mr. Stany Baretto for his creative musical contribution and appreciated Sandesha for offering this album to the public. Mr. Francis D’Souza, Headmaster, welcomed the gathering. Fr. Valerian felicitated Mr. Stany Baretto on his maiden album and offered the album to the students to serve as an inspiration to live in amity as true children of ‘Bharat Matha’. Mr. Baretto expressed his gratitude to Sandesha for directing and producing the CD, and his colleagues and students for their enthusiastic support. Ms. Gladys D’Souza was present on the dais. Ms. Arundhati Rao compeered the programme.
It is hoped that the album will foster true patriotism in the hearts and minds of the public, especially the youth, and prepare them enthusiastically for the Independence Day 2010.
