However, due to lack of negligence, it was blocked and a lot of dump was accumulated and over that all the waste from the nearby hotel was also left to this drainage. Due to this, the drainage was filthy and completed blocked.
Recently, it came to the notice of Moodubelle grama Panchayat and they took swift action to rectify this important issue. The Moodubelle Gram Panchayat called the meeting of all hotel and construction owners and issue was discussed and all the hotel and construction owners agreed to help out to solve this problem and promised not to dump anything in this drainage in future. At the same quick action took place in two phases.
First action was initiated on 15th of March and this week too work continued to clear all the accumulated dump and clear all the waste from this drainage. All the hotel owners came forward and lend their hand to help out in this process thinking about the development of their village and to provide a clean environment to live in. Almost 95¾ of drainage was filled with waste and every one assisted in clearing the large chunk of dirt and helped to allow free flow of water.
In this process Mr. Rajendra Shetty, President Moodubelle Gram Panchayat took part along with P.D.O and officers of Grama Panchayat Moodublle. Also Mr. Gerald Fernandes, Former President of Zilla Panchayat present on the occasion. Ivan D’Almeida organized the necessary arrangement and water supply to clear the drainage. Also present on the occasion were Former President of Taluke Panchayat Mr. Devdas Hebbar and Mr. Shashidar Wagle too were present.
These drainage system blocked mainly because of our shop owners negligence by dumping whatever they want and they are not contributing about this aspect only blaming the Panchayat This kind of minor maintenance work there is no need publicity in B/V this nothing but promoting election campaign nearing us This is their job.
