Karkal: Kumbhabishek Mahotsasv and Shatachandiyaga at Adapadi and Palli Temples from Feb 12 to 16

Karkal,06 Feb 2013: Brahma Kumbhabishek Mahotsasv and Shatachandiyaga will be held at Umamaheshwar and Durgaparameshwari temples located in Shirva – Palli villages, near here from Tuesday February 12 to Saturday February 16. It’s the significant worship centre in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
The Vedic celebrations will be held at the leadership of Vedamurti Ganesh Bhat and Vedamurti Dayanand Bhat, in the presence of the temple managing trustee Pundalika Nayak.
The cleansing ritual and other religious celebrations will be held through Tuesday on February 12.
The re-installation ceremony of Kalkuda – Kallurti goddesses will be held, besides other religious celebrations on Wednesday February 13. The free food offerings will be held on Wednesday afternoon. Yakshagana mythological episode – Chandrahasa Charitre, will be staged by the troupe of Perdoor temple at 6.30pm.
Rudrabhisheka, Satyanarayana puja and Brahma Kumbhabisheka will be held on Thursday February 14. Free food offerings to devotees will be held on Thursday afternoon. The religious preaching will be held on Thursday evening. Tulu play – Kateeldappa Ullalti, by playwright Kadri Navaneet Shetty and directed by Jeevan Ullal will be held at 8.00pm.
Shatachandi Yaga will begin on Friday February 15 early morning, followed by Brahma Kumbhabisheka and Shatachandi Yaga and free food offerings to devotees on Friday afternoon.
B C Rao Shivapura will stage Sri Devi Vaibhavam, musical worship at 2.00pm on Friday. Yuva Vahini ® Mulkywill stage Tulunada Vaibhava, cultural programme directed by Mulky Chandrashekar at 6.00pm.
The buses were arranged from 10.00am to 6.00pm on February 14 and February 15 with Ashok Travels. The buses will ply to Shirva, Manchakal, Mudubelle, Palli, Bailoor after the cultural programme, stated the press release issued by temple authorities.
