Kundapur: Central Kannada Sahitya Academy Awardee B Mohd Kunhi urges Students to aspire to become Li

Kundapur,4 Feb 2013: The parents expect their children to become doctors, engineers, but none of them advise to become litterateurs, said Bolwar Mohammed Kunhi, central Kannada Sahitya Academy award recipient.
Mohammed Kunhi was speaking after inaugurating thirteenth Makkala Sahitya Sammelan and two-day Yoga and personality development camp, begun at Rukmini Shedty Memorial National Pre-University College, Barkoor, near here on Sunday February 3. It was organized at the aegis of Shanti Vanba Trust - Sri Kshedra Dharmastala and other social welfare, voluntary organizations.
’If we think we are incapable; there would not be anymore hope. If one has a strong desire and determination to achieve, puts on efforts, success would certainly be assured in life,’ said Mohammed Kunhi. He also appealed to the students to develop the hobby of writing letters and read children’s Mahabharata and Ramayana, to become litterateurs in the future.
Kartik Shetty, student of Government Higher Primary School, Yadady - Matyady in his presidential address said that the extra-curricular activities in the school help the students to excel in studies and in life. He also called on fellow students to take interest in literature because that would expand their horizon of mind.
Mahalaxmi Mayya, student of Alvas Kannada Medium School, Moodbidri released her poetry at the same occasion.
Barkoor Vidhyanidi Sangh president B Shantaram Shetty, ZP member Mallika Poojary Shanti Vana Trust secretary Seetaram Tolpadtaya, College principal C Rajashekar Hebbar, Shanti Vana Trust chief organizer Rama Bhat Sanjagadde, Sammelan president Srinivas Shettigar were present at the occasion.
