Bahrain, 03 Feb 2013: In a Press Conference held at the Kannada Sangha, Bahrain, on Thursday, 31st January, 2013, at 6.30p.m.,  the Organisers of ALVA’S VISHWA NUDISURI VIRASAT, briefed the Press and audience present on the forthcoming program organized by the Alva’s Foundation, Mudubidri, Karnataka State, India.

For the first time in Bahrain, a proud moment for the Kannadigas -  the renowned Alva’s Educational Foundation in India,  will be performing  a colourful cultural program of folk, classical dances and short skits, all from the Indian sub-continent, performed by 80 talented students from Alva’s College in Moodbidri, who have been specially flown in with their peers to perform at the Bahrain Kerala Samajam Cultural Hall in Segeiya.    The program is being organized under the patronage of The Indian Embassy, Bahrain, and presented by the hosts, Kannada Sangha, Bahrain.    His Excellency, Mohan Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to  Bahrain has kindly consented to grace the program as the Chief Guest.    “Nudisiri-Virasat” translates as  “a treasure trove of cultural extravaganza”.

The briefing was chaired by Kannada Sangha President, Mr. Raj Kumar, the Chief Convenor of the Program, Mr. Uday Shetty, and other organizers including Mr. Rajesh Shetty, General Secretary of Kannada Sangha; Naveen Shetty, Entertainment Secretary and Mr. Pradeep Shetty Organising Committee Secretary, who were all up-beat with the program taking place in Bahrain to enthrall the Indian diaspora in a scintillating non-stop 4-hour cultural extravaganza performed exclusively by the young troupe of students from Alva’s College.   These young students have been adopted by the Alva’s Foundation and have been professionally trained to perform in cultural dance and arts programs by their own experts in the field.    The Vishwa Nudisiri-Virasat program is the brainchild of Mr. Mohan Alva, a practicing Physician, Philanthropist,  who has done yeoman service in the region having carved name and fame all over India.  Mr. Mohan Alva visited Bahrain two weeks ago, as a prelude to the performance, to give the initial organizing touches to the program.

The Organisers along with prominent members of the Indian community in Bahrain, have come forward to assist in all arrangements for the the troupe’s stay in Bahrain and in staging the program right from the time they would be landing in Bahrain and returning after the show from 13th February to 17th February, respectively.      All Indian Expatriate Clubs are also expected to lend their support and every effort will be made to have the performance staged successfully and conclude as a memorable event.     The cultural extravaganza by the students is expected to mesmerize the audience with a taste of unique culture and folklore that would touch their nostalgic sentiments to the core.   The students from India, with all their talents are keen on embarking on this Bahrain leg of their program after having given their performance successfully in Dubai and  Abu Dhabi.    It is a program, that will grip you onto your seats during the entire choc-o-bloc performance,  not to be missed!

The program is free of cost to the general public and an audience of over 1,500 are expected to grace the program.    Due to limited seats available in the Hall, guests will be welcomed first-come first-served basis.
